Why I chose that particular YouTube video

I chose the conjunction junction video because I simply loved it as a child and want to share it with my students. The video not only offers useful information for grammar and conjunctions, but can be a spring board for a creative writing assignment. I can use this in conjunction with another video and prompt the students to write about how different the videos are being that one is from 1973 and the other would be from present day. This can be collaborated with a history lesson to span the subjects across the curriculum. I feel that this video can be useful in many different ways in the classroom. YouTube as a whole can be a viable teaching tool in the classroom with the proper preparation. YouTube can have many things that are not suitable for students, but with due diligence a teacher can find many resources from YouTube that can open up doors that the students may not have the privledge of having elsewhere. For example, a teacher could use YouTube to take students along a virtual tour of a far away land or history location. This is a very broad example, but you get the idea of how YouTube can be practical in our technology based world.
